Adam Johnston to Speak at T-TECH 2026
CEO Adam Johnston will present our software-led compliance research at T-TECH 2026 on 7-8 July. Visit our booth to discuss the future of RUC.
We are headed to Wellington this July for the ITSNZ T-TECH 2026 conference. It is a major event for the transport industry, and we are looking forward to catching up with the wider ecosystem to talk about where the sector is going.
Our CEO, Adam Johnston, has been selected to give a presentation titled "Achieving RUC Compliance Through Timing, Software and Re-engagement; Not Enforcement." The core of the talk is about shifting the focus away from "punishing" drivers and instead using better software to help them stay compliant.
We will be sharing some of the results from our latest research into driver behavior. One of the highlights is our new Dynamic Compliance Prediction modeling. This is a software-first approach that uses AI and WOF-anchored data to predict exactly when a vehicle is likely to run out of RUC. By identifying that specific window where a driver is most likely to top up, we can re-engage them at the perfect time. This means we can achieve high compliance rates without needing expensive hardware or aggressive enforcement tactics.
"For most drivers, missing a RUC payment isn't about trying to break the law," says Adam Johnston. "It is usually just a matter of timing and forgetting. We want to show the industry that if you make the software smart enough to reach out at the right moment, you don't need to act like an enforcement officer. It’s about building trust and making the process seamless."
If you are attending T-TECH on the 7th or 8th of July, we would love to see you. We will have a booth on-site where the team will be available to demo our latest tech and discuss how these behavioral models are being integrated into our platforms.
