The RUC Pass website has received a major visual update as we move closer to our official launch. This overhaul makes the platform faster and more intuitive, but it also introduces a massive step forward for accessibility in the New Zealand RUC ecosystem.

The site is now fully available in six languages to ensure every driver can navigate the system with confidence. These include:

  • English

  • Hindi (हिन्दी)

  • Māori (Te Reo Māori)

  • Samoan (Gagana Samoa)

  • Simplified Chinese (简体中文)

  • Traditional Chinese (繁體中文)

Language should never be a barrier to road compliance, and this update ensures that our "no-nonsense" approach is available to more Kiwis than ever before.

While we are working toward an official launch in early 2027 to align with national policy shifts, we aren't waiting until then to get started. We expect to begin early onboarding for users and partners toward the end of this year. This will give early adopters a chance to see the platform's capabilities before the full transition takes place.

"The feedback on the RUC Pass concept has been fantastic so far," says Adam Johnston, CEO. "We are currently establishing more partnerships to ensure RUC Pass is available in as many physical and digital locations as possible. We want to make sure that when the 2027 transition hits, we have the most accessible and reliable platform on the market."

We would love to hear your thoughts on the updated site and the overall product concept. We have added a feedback tool to the site so you can help us shape the final version of RUC Pass. (rucpass.co.nz)
